We've designed our brand-new Bachelor of Nursing to prepare you to the diversity and intricacies of 21st century civic. In Swinburne, you will gain from our advantages in technology and innovation. Your clinical skills will be developed safely using simulation, simulation and realistic case studies, and you may tackle 800 hours of positioning in a number of clinical settings. Speciality study areas include high acuity nursing, mental health care services, aged and palliative care, Native and rural healthcare, along with family, paediatrics and primary healthcare. Small class sizes will provide you with individualised tests and support will be approached by an authentic, real life view - all to allow you to grow into a well-rounded professional. You may graduate as a registered nurse (RN) and be ready to engage in a career in various settings, for example directional hospitals, aged care, rural, remote or community healthcare.
The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council accredits the Program. The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) allows the course to enable pupils to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse. This enrollment is handled throughout the Australian Physician Regulation Agency (AHPRA). The NMBA internet site sets out all the registration standards that individuals must meet.
- Year 12 or equivalent
- Effective completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, including an interstate or international Year 12 qualification. VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4: a minimum study score of 25 in English (or equivalent) or even 30 in English (EAL). Extra performance criteria and prerequisite requirements may also apply. Special requirements: Working with Children Check - all applicants must maintain a present working together with Children Check throughout the duration of this application
