Course Content
From the outset we will develop your technical skills and teach you to understand what it is to be a professional photographer. Well introduce you to wider thematic questions so youre better equipped to think as an informed image-maker. As the course progresses we invite the international photography community into our classroom, enabling you to engage directly with the industry from our safely-mentored environment.
In the final year youll have the knowledge, confidence and expertise to be publishing your own work on an international platform and leveraging those forces that are changing the face of the photographic world.
Your course will be based on a series of practical workshops and lectures, with associated seminars and small group skills sessions. In addition, your personal tutor, who will be a member of the photography team, will review and discuss your progress with you and will be available for advice.

Essential Entry Requirements:- 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C including English Language, or specified equivalents.
- A-Levels: BCC preferably to include one from Art, Media or Photography
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM in Media
Access: A pass in the Access Diploma to include 45 credits at Level 3. Access applicants can meet the GCSE requirements through their current studies and do not need to have these qualifications separately.

Merit Scholarship SchemeMerit Scholarship scheme: £1,000, in year one only and based on academic performance.
- Available to all international students applying for full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Coventry University.
- Scholarships are allocated on the basis of academic merit. (Postgraduate applicants must hold 2.1 or equivalent, undergraduate applicants must hold A-levels or equivalent at grades BBC)
