The Master of Professional Psychology (School Psychology) specialisation is for students of a four-year accredited psychology program that are interested in pursuing a career as a school psychologist. This specialisation is just open to applicants who hold a graduate student offered by the NSW Department of Education. The School Psychology specialisation will instruct one to work as a school psychologist by providing the 5th year of organized instruction and supervised training at the school surroundings. Following completion of the 5th-year degree, you undertake a 6th year of supervised internship in just a school setting, before obtaining basic registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Accreditation is being sought from the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council. This elastic 5th-year app is modelled on the already accredited trainee 5th-year class that's been running for many decades.
