The Joint International Psychology Program (JIPP), offered by Chulalongkorn University in conjunction with the University of Queensland (Australia), is an innovative four-year program, over which students must earn a minimum of 125-credits of coursework. JIPP offers an avenue for students to gain a wealth of experience studying at both prestigious institutions. Students will spend their first two years (4 semesters) at Chulalongkorn University, and their next three semesters taking courses in the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland. Their final semester will be spent at Chulalongkorn University.

 

Study at both Chula and UQ

The Joint International Psychology Program (JIPP), offered by Chulalongkorn University in conjunction with the University of Queensland (Australia), is an innovative four-year program, over which students must earn a minimum of 125-credits of coursework. JIPP offers an avenue for students to gain a wealth of experience studying at both prestigious institutions. Students will spend their first two years (4 semesters) at Chulalongkorn University, and their next three semesters taking courses in the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland. Their final semester will be spent at Chulalongkorn University.

 

Year 1 & 2 at Chula

Through various introductory courses, students will learn the general approaches to psychology in their first two years. Other courses students must take include those in English, statistics and research methodology as these are essential in any accredited program of psychology. In addition, students may choose from a variety of general education courses.

 

Big adventure at UQ in Year 3 and 4/1

In the third year of study and the first half of their fourth, students will develop deeper into the field of behavioral neuroscience at the University of Queensland, ranked the 9th in by QS World University Rankings 2013 in psychology (read more). Also required, are more in depth courses dealing with research methods and psychological assessments. 

 

Year 4/2 back at Chula

In the final semester, which will be spent at Chulalongkorn University, the curriculum shifts its focus from that of a theoretical approach to a more self-directed approach. Those in their last semester of the JIPP will dedicate much of their education time on such requirements as the senior project and the individual study.

 

Earn 2 psychology degrees from Both Chula and UQ

Upon successful completion of the Joint International Psychology Program, students will earn two degrees; a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Chulalongkorn University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Queensland. Details of the study plan are outlined as follows:

-High school transcipt/proof of completion of M6 or equivalent levels from high school

-The other qualifications according to the track chosen by each applicant. 

To support excellence academic achievement students with financial aids, we proudly offer scholarships. Once granted, the scholarship will apply both at Chula and at UQ. 

We now have two types of JIPP scholarship:

-Academic excellence scholarship provided upon admission and continue throughout the program

-Financial aid scholarship provided during semester 4 and semester 5 only
