Find your niche. Through our program you will examine theories and research exploring human thought, feeling and behaviour. Study the brain. Learn research skills. Discover how psychology plays a role in every area of societyпПСbusiness, health, sports, entertainment, law, communication and more. Get the mix of theoretical knowledge and experience that will prepare you for continued study or to be competitive in the workplace immediately following graduation. You will earn an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and a Diploma in General Arts and Science. You also have the option to pursue one of three certificates (as part of your regular studies) in years three and four: Intercultural Relations, Organizational Behaviour or Research Skills and Analysis.A solid foundation in psychology will drive your success. Your first two years introduce you to key concepts and provide foundational courses, including Developmental Psychology; Social Psychology; Research Methods; and Personality. You will also build your skills in critical thinking and effective writing. In years three and four, your courses will become more focused and offer more applied study. You will apply learned concepts through courses such as Drugs and Behaviour, Theories of Psychotherapy, and Abnormal Psychology. In the third-year course Applied Study in Psychology, you will integrate psychological theories and research with at least 100 hours of workplace experience.
