To pursue the major, students must apply and be admitted to the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy by completing the Application for Declaration of Undergraduate Major form. Admission to the major requires a minimum grade of C or better in each of the prerequisite courses. Completion of the public health major leads to a bachelor of science (B.S.) degree.Students transferring from within the university, transferring from outside the university (from another college or university) or students who previously began a program at Rutgers University and have not completed that program (re-enrolling) who wish to major in public health should follow the course of study for the Public Health Direct Admit (832D) program.
