Public-health refers to structured attempts to prevent disease, promote health and reduce health inequalities in entire populations. A post graduate public health degree is recognized worldwide as being invaluable for a lifetime career in general health. The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is an introductory course intended for both non invasive and medically qualified students interested in a career in people or worldwide wellness, research or practice. Through this course, students acquire skills in preparation, execution and analysis of all public health programs. UTS utilises a blend of face-to-face instruction, for example block weeks, and on the web educational shipping. Academic staff are exceptionally experienced clinicians and investigators, and recognized as pioneers in their preferred fields of general health. Candidates are more prone to function in a range of public health roles in private or government businesses, as well as in not-for-profit organisations; in disciplines such as: environmental health, epidemiology, health education, health care, and health promotion.

  • UTS recognised bachelor level, or equivalent or higher qualification, or filed additional evidence of general and professional credentials that shows potential to pursue graduate studies. This signs could consist of extensive relevant work experience in a health or human services field. Applicants must have a minumum of one year's full-time equivalent experience in a health or human services organisation. Applicants who do not need an undergraduate degree but who have extensive relevant work experience in a health or human services field and will demonstrate the ability to undertake tertiary study may also be considered eligible. The English competency requirement for local applicants with international credentials is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
  • Or TOEFL: paper established: 550-583 complete with TWE of 4.5, web: 79-93 complete with a writing score of 2-1
  • Or AE5: Pass
  • Or PTE: 58-64
  • Or CAE: 176-184.
