BA Honours programs provide a high degree of specialization in one subject area (or in some cases, two areas combined) and demand a higher standard both for admission and ongoing performance in the program. All Honours programs in the Faculty of Arts require one year of study prior to admission and applicants must present a minimum of (★24) credits to be eligible to apply.This major involves the study of the languages and cultures of Spain, France, and Italy. Students will gain proficiency in all three languages suitable for employment in areas such as translation (see Certificate in Translation) or international relations. The honours program includes participation in academic research.
