Delivered online, the Bachelor of Social Science gives students a comprehensive understanding of social science at the context of a more diverse global environment. Students may select from the significant study areas of criminology, security and worldwide relations, security, counter terrorism, or behavioural studies, compelling them to get diverse careers in areas such as child protection, crime prevention, domestic security, government and foreign events. Researching topics such as human behaviour, social issues, ethical dilemmas and worldwide relations, students will build up a rounded understanding of sociocultural and socioeconomic surroundings. Critical thinking skills will be honed through the investigation of theoretical fundamentals and also the reviewal of research, and scholars will show confidence in communication ideas and arguments within their chosen disciplines.

  • Successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, including an interstate or global Year 12 qualification. Conclusion or partial completion of an approved tertiary qualification (including Certificates IV (completed), Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Associate Degrees and Degrees). Applicants without an official qualification may be considered for entry if they possess significant and relevant work experience or upon completion of the STAT test. Year 12 or equivalent. VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4: the absolute minimum study score of 25 in English (or equivalent) or even 30 in English (EAL). Supplemental performance criteria and requirement requirements can also apply. English language requirements - satisfactory completion of a few of these: Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 advanced level degree ) with overall 65 percent, all of skills 65 percent
  • Minimum IELTS overall group of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 75 using a reading band at least 18 and writing band at least 20
  • Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 50 (no communicative skills significantly less than 50)
  • every other equivalent assessment of English language competence.
