Spoken and Written English

This class gives a basic education curriculum framework for English as an additional language (EAL) literacy and language instruction primarily targeted to newly arrived migrants and refugees who must develop language skills to participate in a variety of community contexts. The Certificate also contains elective numeracy modules for both all those EAL learners who may also must develop numeracy skills and not just become knowledgeable about the English of mathematics. It is acceptable as an intermediate class for learners who are suffering from a success level of English, literacy or numeracy competencies and who have had some formal or informal exposure to English.
