Spoken and Written English for Further Study

This course targets the creation of spoken and written language skills required to keep with postsecondary or degree research studies. It develops the skills of learners to take part in a selection of further study contexts. The course takes an integrated approach, linking listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. It gives students the opportunity to practice study skills like preparation and drafting essays, engaging in tutorial discussions, giving oral presentations, listening to lectures and reading a range of academic texts in preparation for further education courses in English.
