The course runs full time between October and May, with research and dissertation taking pace over the summer. Alternatively you may commence in January, in which case you will study until August, completing research and dissertation between September and December.

Modules will include the assessment and evaluation of athletes and athletic performance, and the evaluation of the physiological, biomechanical, nutritional and psychological demands of sports in relation to training and the development of strength and conditioning programmes. The course will not only focus on evidence based practice, but also the application to a range of sports.

Entry Requirements

We welcome applications from graduates with a good honours degree (2.2 or above).

International Entry Requirements

English language requirements for international students

You must have competence in English language and we normally require Grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. The most common English Language requirements for international students are IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all four components) or TOEFL paper based 575 (no less than 4.5 in test of written English) or TOEFL internet based 90 (with no less than 19 in each component).

Middlesex also offers an Intensive Academic English course (Pre-Sessional) that ranges from 5-17 weeks depending on your level of English. Successful completion of this course would meet English language entry requirements.
