Technical Engineering

This qualification is part of the Metal and Engineering Training Package. It is for individuals aiming at employment at the engineering and metal industry in occupations at engineering technician degree carrying out tasks as engineering design and quality control/assurance observation. Students will acquire compulsory competencies in organising and assessing information, getting together with computing technology and selecting engineering stuff. Additionally they will acquire a range of optional competencies current or planned employment, such as CAD, construction, caliber control/assurance, basic fluid power, basic mechanical design, production scheduling, cost estimating and non-destructive testing.
