McMaster UniversityпПХs Faculty of Engineering and Mohawk CollegeпПХs School of Engineering Technology are partners collaborating to provide a new and innovative pathway to both a three-year college diploma and a two-year university degree designed for working technologists and internationally trained professionals. Four year degree programs are also available to secondary school graduates.Energy Engineering Technologies program (for electrical and mechanical graduates of College Applied Technology) provides two streams of graduates: nuclear and renewable energies. Advanced technical studies include: instrumentation, machines, network, and system control. Safety rules and regulations within power plants and sub-stations. Power generation, distribution, protection and maintenance. Power quality, energy management, and environmental impact of power systems. Nuclear reactor analysis, nuclear power plant systems and operation. Renewable energy technologies such as: bio-mass, fuel-cells, geothermal, solar, and wind. A substantial component of management studies include studies in organizational behaviour, financial systems, project management entrepreneurship and strategy formulation.
