The Level 7 Diploma in Tourism Management will equip you will the skills needed for senior level management within the tourism and hospitality industry. The diversity and continued growth of this industry has brought about an increased need for skilled and flexible managers who are able to operate at a range of levels. This course is ideal for both national and international professionals within the industry who have the drive to further develop their skills in management and push their career to new levels. This programme is also relevant for recent graduates looking to take the next step and acquire specialist knowledge necessary to manage operations at middle or senior level management or consultancy work.

This programme will focus on the contexts of globalisation, contemporary issues, commercialisation, decision making and destination management. Being entrepreneurial in this industry is important; this requires you to incorporate good leadership and management values whilst showing awareness of the ethical, cultural, political, social and environmental issues. After the completion of this level you will have mastered self-management, learning and research skills, teamwork and corporate social responsibility.

All students must be a minimum of 18 years old on the commencement date of their course and demonstrate competence in English at the necessary level, IELTS 6.0 or above in each component or equivalent ANDOTHM Level 6 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management (QCF) or other relevant UK Level 6 qualification or equivalent as recognised by UK NARIC ORMature students (over 21) with six years' relevant work experience, including three years with team leadership or managerial experience English Language Requirements IELTS band: 6 IMPORTANT NOTE: Since April 2014 the ETS tests (including TOEFL and TOEIC) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa.
