PURPOSE
For practising lawyers, regulators, academics and those with a specific need for knowledge of EU Copyright and related law. To provide a general understanding of the substantive rules of EU law concerning copyright and related matters and the relation between domestic copyright protection and EU law.

* Parallel imports.
* Civil and criminal remedies.
* Dealings with copyright.
* Moral rights.

* Copyright and designs.
* Copyright, competition and Community law.
* UK and US law in detail and French and German law in outline.
* Research methods.

FORMAT AND ASSESSMENT
Compulsory assignments and examination for the Postgraduate Diploma. MA: dissertation.

Applicants must normally hold a degree in law or in a related discipline, of a good second class honours standard (or equivalent in the case of degrees differently graded), or be a qualified barrister or solicitor. Applications from candidates who have achieved a comparable academic level through past studies and where previous study, work or experience has made the applicant a suitable candidate for admission may also be considered.
