This program teaches students how to create, execute and manage urban landscapes. Students gain an comprehension of the biological, socio cultural and ecological aspects that shape horticultural methods. The application is delivered in 9 hectares of heritage-listed gardens in Burnley campus, Australia's top facility for horticultural education with over 120 years of experience. The campus includes a unique selection of Indigenous and exotic plants; a landscape structure area; the demo green roof emphasizing the advantages of urban infrastructure; training houses including upkeep and design; container and field nurseries; a horticultural library; and experimental plots.
An undergraduate level or graduate or postgraduate certification in virtually any area having a weighted average mark of at least 75%, or equivalent, for a CSP, or 65 percent , or equivalent, to an Australian or global fee place. For those who have completed an undergraduate degree in plant science or horticulture having a weighted average mark of at least 65%, you may be eligible for entrance into the 150 point application. The Graduate Diploma in Urban Horticulture can be Applied as an exit point from the Master of Urban Horticulture.
