The Luca Marenzio Music Conservatory is proud to offer a comprehensive Viola da Gamba programme for prospective students. Requirements for the Viola da Gamba Programme at Luca Marenzio Music Conservatory

The Luca Marenzio Music Conservatory offers a unique and comprehensive Viola da Gamba programme for prospective students. This programme is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become proficient in the instrument. In order to be accepted into the programme, students must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of two years of prior experience playing the viola da gamba.
• A minimum grade of B in music theory and/or music history.
• A minimum grade of C in aural skills.
• A minimum grade of C in sight-reading.
• A minimum grade of C in improvisation.
• A minimum grade of C in performance.

In addition to the above requirements, students must also demonstrate a commitment to the study of the viola da gamba and a willingness to work hard to achieve their goals.
