This course will develop students' foundation knowledge and skills in the sciences with a particular focus on vision and optical sciences. Students may also expand their skills in operation and management related areas should they decide to explore private practice. The course provides students with the capacity to demonstrate an comprehension of the sciences underpinning health, vision and optical sciences; perform shared visual and optical analytical examinations; illustrate a solid comprehension of the dysfunctions and diseases of the eye; illustrate an understanding of the inter-disciplinary nature of health practitioners and health vocations; and also demonstrate understanding of and respect for human rights and ethnic and societal diversity.
Entry to the course is based on an entry position. A position can be accomplished by means of a year 1 2 ATAR, other Australian qualification, work experience, or an international qualification.
