Work Health and Safety

The Accreditation Certification of Work Health and Safety provides a professional introductory schedule of study in the area of occupational safety and health. It is also a pathway for the Greater level Graduate Diploma in Work Safety and Health. This amount UOW's Work Health and Safety programs have been developed along with industry to address the complex character of occupational safety and health at work. The specialised expertise and skills developed throughout the course will allow you to confidently deal with complex character of workplace occupational health and safety difficulties. This app has a flexible mode of delivery, together with online content delivered front, complemented with block teaching sessions of 3-5 days for mining and application of subject material. UOW is dwelling to Work safety and health scholars who are leaders within their field. The strong pedagogical basis of this program is informed by a team of experienced teaching staff from a selection of professional backgrounds, including allied health, technology, occupational hygiene and risk management. The multidisciplinary approach to learning and instruction at UOW enables valuable interdisciplinary experience with Public Health and Social Sciences students, along with instructional input from technology, medicine, many allied health professionals, law and company.

The Accreditation Certificate isn't qualified to receive professional certification because of the limited reach of study. If, though, a student applies for admission to the Graduate Diploma on successful completion of the Accreditation Certificate, all subjects may be applied as student loan. Please be aware that successful conclusion of H AS 870 is utilized to make an application for an exemption to the mandatory WorkCover NSW 2 Day Return to Work Coordinator training.
