Over 5% of the student population at The University of Winnipeg are international students. That is close to 500 people from 68 different countries! The University of Winnipeg is dedicated to ensuring that all students have equal access to higher learning. As a result of this mandate there are support services and programs in place like financial assistance to make that happen.
There are a wide variety of ways to fund your education as an international student. Unless otherwise stated, all full-time and part-time students are eligible for Entrance and In-Course awards as long as they meet the published criteria. In addition to these programs, there are also some specific opportunities available just for international students that we would like to highlight for you.

The University of Winnipeg President's Scholarships for World Leaders for Graduate Students are valued at $5,000.
The University of Winnipeg President's Scholarship for World Leaders is awarded to international students entering any of the University's divisions for the first time - Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate , PACEor ELP. Applicants must be involved in activities that demonstrate leadership and submit a complete award application by the deadline date. Applicants must also complete an application for admission into The University of Winnipeg by the scholarship deadline date.
In-Course awards are directed to students currently attending The University of Winnipeg. Generally you apply for these awards in the Fall term after you have enrolled in your classes. There are both financial need based awards (awards and bursaries) and also merit based awards (scholarships and prizes) available.
There will be four main applications for you to consider for the 2018-19 academic year. Make sure to submit all applications by the deadlines stated below. Late applications will not be considered.

Have excellent marks? A scholarship is awarded for academic achievement. They are directed to students who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 (B).
