Course Content

All courses in business administration are taught in English and the programme welcomes both Swedish and international students. You will study a language, as well as the culture in the country, or countries, where the language is spoken. You can choose one of the following languages: English, French, Italian. If you have Swedish language proficiency you can also choose: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, Finnish, German, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Portuguese or Spanish.

The basic areas of business administration are covered in the first two semesters. You will study your chosen language during the third and fourth semester. During the fifth semester you can choose courses in business administration at Stockholm University School of Business, or abroad, if there are courses available in your chosen language. You can also choose courses in, or related to, your chosen language, at Stockholm University or abroad. All students write a bachelor’s thesis in business administration during the sixth and final semester and are awarded a Bachelor of Science with Business Administration as the main field of study.

Upon completion of the programme you will be well prepared for a career in international organizations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

Requirements

In order to be eligible, you have to fulfil the general entrance (eligibility) requirements as well as the specific requirements for the programme or course you are interested in.

General Eligibility

- A completed upper secondary education
- Knowledge of English equivalent to Course English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School. For further information, please see www.universityadmissions.se

Knowledge of Swedish (If Swedish is the language of instruction)

- Course Swedish B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or a proficiency test (TISUS: Test i svenska för universitetsstudier/Test in Swedish for University Studies), or the equivalent.

Mathematics Requirement

For students who received their final school grades after 31 December 2009, there is an additional entry requirement for mathematics as follows: The student must have successfully completed courses in mathematics to reach the level of the Swedish course Mathematics A (approximately 10 years of mathematics studies). This mathematics requirement does not apply to students who received their final school grade before 1 January 2010.
