The environment has been degrading at an alarming rate mainly due to unsustainable development and unsustainable use of natural resources. Although environmental conservation has developed significantly over the past couple of decades, environmental problems have been evolving both in terms of nature and scale. Ways to resolve many environmental problems remain controversial.
The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program aims to train postgraduate students to conduct independent research in Marine Environmental Science.
The Coastal Marine Laboratory on campus is an essential infrastructure supporting our marine researches, while the Environmental Central Facility serves as a platform supporting our atmospheric researches.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree
- You will fulfill the English Language requirements with one of the following proficiency attainments:TOEFL-iBT 80, TOEFL PBT 550, IELTS Overall score: 6.0
- You are required to nominate 2-5 referees to support your application. Upon your application submission, the referees will be invited by email to complete a reference report online. Referees may attach additional reference letters to the online report if they wish to.
