17 Week English Language Bridging (ELB)

The 17-week Language Language Bridging program is intended to develop English language proficiency, academic literacy and mediation skills from degree B2 upto c 1 on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). The 17-week El B program is divided into two blocks; block 1 (9 weeks) and block two (8 weeks). Block 1 develops reading, listening, writing and speaking skills together with equal importance having a focus on English Language proficiency. Week 1 of this class prepares students to both academic, welfare and social aspects of their studies at Curtin University and also how to deal with life in Australia as an global student. Week 1 joins both English and content Language development in academic, welfare and social contexts familiar to students.
