The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science was established to enable students to learn comprehensively electrical engineering and computer science. In this integrated course, students learn a variety of advanced and dream-inspiring technologies including information and communications technology that enables use of the internet, artificial intelligence and robot control technologies that support human life, very-large-scale integrated circuits used in semiconductor chips, and super-conductive technology with zero electrical resistance.

Liberal Arts Subjects and Basic Sciences

For the first year and a half, students in the international undergraduate programs study various liberal arts subjects and basic sciences. This segment of the programs aims not only to equip students with in-depth liberal arts knowledge and to help them deepen their understanding of various disciplines, but also to broaden their range of interests, and to enable them to continue learning independently. About Fifty subjects from 6 Subject Categories will be offered, including:

Having taken liberal arts subjects and basic science classes for the first year and a half, students will proceed to take specialized subjects common to the four programs offered by the School of Engineering, and others that are specific to each program for the remainder of their study.
