To qualify for the degree of doctor, you must have
- Satisfactorily earned a minimum of 10 credits of coursework and passed the dissertation defense. If you got M.Eng. from HU, these courses must be from Divisions other than the one you graduated from.
- Fulfill the requirements on the number of published papers set up by each division. Please check the graduation requirements.
- TOEFL 79/TOEIC 730/ IELTS 6 or equivalent

- * If your grade is below the minimum requirement, you may either appear for an entrance exam at the University or enroll as a research student first and then take the entrance exam after you arrive in Sapporo.
