The MMI program is completed over the course of 12 months and is done so on a full-time basis. The first 8 months of the program are spent in class where students gain a strong foundation in management. A mandatory internship must be completed during the final 4 months of the program.
Our core curriculum focuses on economic analysis, technology management, business strategy, finance, accounting, big data analysis, marketing and policy. Elective courses are selected from a wide array of subjects, across many disciplines at the University of Toronto.  Each elective is approved in advance by the program and students can customize the MMI by selecting elective courses which are in line with their individual interests.
The MMI program provides students with the knowledge, skills and strategic perspectives required to become leaders and senior managers who are responsible for managing the innovation process. Small class sizes, personalized career coaching and a specially tailored professional development series allow students the ideal opportunity to develop academically, professionally and personally.  The classroom environment is interactive and student-faculty dialogue is highly encouraged in order to maximize learning and collaboration.
Our summer internship runs from May to August and provides students with the opportunity to transfer learning to the corporate environment.  Newly acquired skills and knowledge are directly applied to a job making learning meaningful and relevant.
