This qualification reflects the project roles of workers within the accounting business, for example BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and most of the employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries. It has lodging and preparing industry and instalment activity statements, and providing advice or addressing the Commissioner for a citizen with regard to activity statements. Individuals in those roles apply theoretical and expert understanding and expertise to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities.Licensing/Regulatory InformationWork functions from the occupational areas where this eligibility could be used are subject to regulatory conditions. Refer to this FNS Financial Services Training Package Companion Volume Implementation Guide or the appropriate regulator for specific help with requirements.Persons supplying a business activity statement (BAS) service for a fee or other reward has to be filed by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) and this eligibility is currently cited as fulfilling the TPB instruction requirements for registration. Other conditions apply, for example a designated period of experience. Persons searching BAS broker registration should assess current registration conditions with the TPB, as registration requirements have been examined regularly.
