This qualification reflects the project functions of workers from the accounting business, including BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and of those employees performing bookkeeping tasks for businesses in a range of industries. It includes lodging and preparing business and instalment activity statements, and providing advice or dealing with the Commissioner for a taxpayer in relation to activity statements. Individuals in such jobs apply theoretical and expert understanding and skills to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities.Licensing/Regulatory InformationWork functions from the occupational areas where this eligibility might be properly used are subject to specific regulatory conditions. Other conditions apply, including a designated amount of experience. Persons searching BAS broker registration should assess current registration conditions with the TPB, as registration requirements are examined regularly.
