This qualification reflects the job functions of workers at the accounting business, for example BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and of these employees performing accounting tasks for organisations in a range of industries. It has preparing and lodging business and instalment activity statements, and providing advice or addressing the Commissioner with respect to a taxpayer with regard to activity statements. Individuals in such roles apply theoretical and expert understanding and expertise to work autonomously, and physical exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities.Licensing/Regulatory InformationWork functions at the occupational areas where this eligibility could be properly used are subject to specific regulatory requirements. Other states apply, for example a predetermined period of experience. Persons searching BAS broker enrollment should assess current enrollment requirements with the TPB, as enrollment requirements are assessed regularly.
