Academic Qualification

A bachelor's degree of Chinese Medicine or Acupuncture, or other health profession disciplines; or in special circumstances, possess the equivalent training and be able to pass an entrance examination.


Language Proficiency Requirement

Applicants must have obtained a bachelor’s degree with English language as the primary medium of instruction; or applicants can demonstrate a good command of English, e.g.

  1. IELTS academic modules minimum score of 6.5; or

  2. TOEFL minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 79 (internet-based)). 

Others

Those who have never received any undergraduate training in Chinese Medicine must take the course “Principles of Chinese Medicine in Acupuncture Practice” (中醫針灸學概論) (4 units) as supplementary study.

The Government offers financial assistance in the form of non-means-tested loan to all students.  The beneficiaries are expected to repay their loans within a specified period after graduation. Scholarships are bestowed upon selected recipients including new students on the basis of academic merits and other criteria stipulated by the donors.
