The class supplies a clinical training component dedicated to a selected specialty area of nursing. Admission is based on a minumum of twelve months of paid job as a Registered Nurse employed in acute or sub acute healthcare facility over the five years before obtaining the course, and present medical and employment support at a work place that provides clinically relevant experience within the selected specialty area of nursing.
- Undergraduate degree in nursing or equivalent
- a minumum of one year of clinical experience as a registered nurse within the following five years before application
- Present unrestricted registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- a minumum of one year of documented clinical experience within the five years before application in a acute care setting
- Graduate certificate in a place of specialty nursing practice.
