The University of New England was created in Armidale in 1938 and became an independent university in 1954. UNE is your first university in Australia outside of a capital city, and features a well-earned reputation as one of Australia's great teaching, training and research universities.
Set onto an amazing 74 hectares and comprising the original homestead at the heart of the campus, UNE combines heritage with modern instructional, sporting, recreational and accommodation facilities.
UNE has a campus at Armidale and research centers in Parramatta, Taree and Tamworth, as well as other locations throughout regional NSW.
UNE has three teaching periods or trimesters, commencing in February, June and October. The University has well over 180 classes on offer over 10 academic Schools.
All aspects of analysis are also available to overseas students. Special on-campus services include UNE International; UNE's English Language Centre; the International Students Association and the Armidale International Association.
