Applied Geology and Geophysics

This system's graduates who gain expertise in Geology and Geophysics are of increasing importance and will have many chances, particularly in Australia. Geoscientists have been required in the search for minerals, groundwater and energy resources. There is just a quick growing requirement for geology and geophysics professionals in developing countries. The requirement from mining industries is increasingly matched by increasing chances in environmental management.

This course is Licensed by the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. The BSc (Applied Geology) fulfills the academic requirements for membership of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Geological Society of Australia and Australian Institute of Geoscientists. The BSc (Geophysics) fulfills the academic requirements for membership of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the Society of Exploration Geophysics (USA).
