Geology is the study of the Earth and its own resources. This class unites a thorough background in geological maxims having a practical emphasis on mineral, oil and groundwater resources and their ecological management. It's intended to generate career-ready professionals trained to detect new tools, and develop and manage these tools in an environmentally responsible way. Students who excel will also be well placed to help expand their comprehension throughout our honours and research programs. This class may be combined at dual degree programs with Environmental Biology, Finance, Geographic Information Science and Geophysics, which may have separate entries in the handbook.
The Program is Known by the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Candidates are eligible for membership of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Geological Society of Australia, the International Association of Hydrogeologists and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia.
