Description
This degree will provide students with an excellent grounding in psychology. BSc / BSc (Hons) Psychology students carry out research individually and in groups which allows them to understand and apply relevant psychological theories to real life situations. Students are also encouraged to consider employability skills and apply psychological theory to voluntary or paid work experience to prepare them for future employment.
The programme allows students to study psychology alongside other subjects such as biology, social science or a modern language. Most modules are delivered by means of lectures, lab work and seminars, with a strong emphasis at all levels on small group work.
All students who successfully complete the first three levels of the programme are eligible to proceed to Honours level. At Honours level, students carry out an empirical project, which allows them to investigate an area of their choice and apply their findings to psychological theory.
