This program qualifies students as a professional fabric designer for its fashion, interior, automotive and licensing design industries in Australia and over seas. They'll explore creativity and design and build up technical and sustainability knowledge and digital media skills for distributing textile theories into marketable products. Students can specialise in surface pattern (printing ) or assembled textiles (knit and weave) and will undertake a range of projects which may cause an expert portfolio students may present to industry. Students will participate in industry-related projects and develop communication, company and computer-aided textile design (CATD) abilities, and which may meet worldwide industry demands for his or her future success.

This course is accredited by the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and the Council of Textile & Fashion.

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English besides EAL.
