Description

This primary hotel management degree program prepares students for first employment at a supervisory level, or continuation onto the bachelor of hospitality management degree with specializations. Professional skills are developed through a series of formative craft-based learning (CBL) activities supported by theoretical courses and an internship. The students are exposed to real-life working environments with a progression from didactic and guided lessons, to more self-managed learning approaches.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the program, students will be able to:

  • Apply and reflect on knowledge and skills acquired through academic, CBL and workplace learning activities.
  • Operate at supervisory level in operational departments within the hospitality industry.
  • Apply contemporary systems and theories relevant to administrative and operational management tasks in hotel departments or units.

  • Use tools for developing their career plans, setting personal goals and developing appropriate common skills.

  • Applicants must have a Baccalauréat, Maturité, Abitur, A-levels, IB Diploma, High School Diploma, or equivalent.

    • TOEFL: minimum score 500 or 173 for the computer scoring system or 61 for the internet based test. The TOEFL testing code number for Glion Institute of Higher Education is 7337.
    • Cambridge First Certificate: Grade C
    • I.E.L.T.S. minimum of 5.0 in all 4 sub-components
