Applicants to the Respiratory Care Program-North must meet the following admission criteria:
- hold a high school diploma or GED certificate and meet all admission requirements of the participating community college to which they apply.
- complete at least 34 credits of general education and science course work while maintaining a "C" grade or better in all program pre-requisites
- GPA of at least a 2.75
- completions of the following mandatory pre-requisites by the Spring semester before starting the Program: College Algebra, Psychology, English 101 & 102, Anatomy and Physiology I and II (with a lab), Microbiology (with a lab), College Chemistry (with a lab), General Physics (strongly recommended but not required)
- HOBET V Entrance admission exam to be taken at Rutgers-SHRP
