Graduates of this program acquire theoretical background and practical skills in biochemistry and molecular biology and adjacent fields, such as microbiology, physiology, cell biology, clinical biochemistry and bioinformatics, which enable them to be employed in biologically oriented research, development, and in related companies. Graduates learn scientific methodology in these fields, such as problem formulation, design of experiments, analysis of experimental data and written output of results. Corresponding skills encompass the isolation and analytical procedures with cells, organelles, biomacromolecules, metabolites, transport and enzyme activity measurements, analysis of reactions and transport and metabolism by means of mathematical methods.
