Biology

The biology department at TWU prepares students to work at the leading edge of such fields as biotechnology, health sciences and environmental science. TWUпПХs biology major incorporates both theoretical and practical learning. Lecturing professors are highly involved in their areas of research. Laboratory courses provide students the opportunity to learn interactively and to develop occupational skills. The biology department encourages students to participate in faculty research programs in ecology, marine biology, biotechnology and medical science. TWU faculty and students approach biology as an integrative science where biological issues are viewed in light of a thoughtful Christian perspective. Students are also challenged to consider many of the ethical biological questions facing society.
