Kinesiology

Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement with a focus on prevention of injury and chronic disease. Trent University is collaborating with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) to deliver this comprehensive program in which the first two years are completed at TrentпПХs Peterborough campus, and years three and four at UOIT in Oshawa. Students gain the knowledge and skills to become a kinesiology practitioner, able to prescribe individualized exercise programs to improve or maintain the health, functional capacity and well-being of a range of healthy and clinical populations.Kinesiology is a regulated health profession in Ontario. This degree provides the skills and knowledge to function as a health professional and to write the competency exam with the Ontario Kinesiology Association to become a registered Kinesiologist.
