Douglas College offers a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with specialties in Accounting and Financial Services & Administration. The degree is designed for individuals with a recognized two-year post secondary diploma who wish to continue with further studies or high school graduates who may wish to pursue a bachelorпПХs degree. The Financial Services and Administration major prepares individuals for jobs in banking, securities and investments fields, leading to professional designations such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner), PFP (Personal Financial Planner), AICB (Associate, Institute of Canadian Bankers), CIM (Canadian Investment Manager) and securities brokerage. The degree covers sufficient material and knowledge for those students who may wish to consider taking the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) qualifying exams. Depending on the diploma, students may have to take пПТbridging coursesпПУ from the first or second year in order to be ready to go into third year, since many of the courses in year one and two are prerequisites for third- and fourth-year courses.
