The MBA programme is a two year (four semester) programme and will be granted upon fulfillment of the following requirements;
The Thesis Programme: the completion of 36 credit hours which consists of;
* 5 three-credit core management courses
* 7 three-credit technical electives
* A non-credit seminar course in the field business/management
* A dissertation/thesis in the field of business/management
* Maintenance of a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.0
The Non-thesis Programme: the completion of 42 credit hours which consists of;
* 5 three-credit core management courses
* 9 three-credit technical electives
* A non-credit seminar course in the field business/management
* Maintenance of a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.0
The core management courses should be completed prior to enrolling in the technical elective courses. The seminar and thesis can only be taken upon successful completion of the core management courses and the technical elective courses (not before the students 4th semester). Each semester students can enroll in a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 courses.
Students who lack adequate foundation in basic management/business are required to successfully complete (minimum CC grade) the following courses (non-credit) before proceeding with the programme;
* Principles of Management
* Microeconomics
* Statistics
* Financial Accounting
1.Core Requirements:
* Quantitative Analysis for Business and Economics
* Managerial Economics
* Strategic Management
* Marketing Management or MARK 550 Strategic Marketing Management
* Financial Management
2.Thesis and Seminar:
* Seminar
* Thesis
3.Technical Electives
Requirements for Applications to Postgraduate Master’s programs of Near East University are as follows:
- Graduating from a BSc or BA level undergraduate program (Min. CGPA 2.50)
- English Proficiency: TOEFL and other Qualifications may be considered.
- Turkish Proficiency (Required only for foreign students applying to Departments whereby the language of instruction is Turkish. Students applying to the Faculty of Medicine or Dentistry are required to have knowledge of the Turkish Language before beginning clinical training).
Application forms can be obtained from this web page or the Registrar’s Office. Students whose applications evaluated are called for interviews or exams on previously announced dates and following that, the final decision about the applications are announced. Application dates are different for each term and these dates are announced via our website.
Turkish Proficiency is available at the Turkish Language School of Near East University offering foreign students the opportunity to learn Turkish relevant to the department/program they have been enrolled in.
