Description

The UNE Bachelor of Business has been designed to create contemporary professionals with a solid grounding in the core business fields of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Organisational Development, Management and Marketing needed for organisational survival and success. After covering these key areas in the first year, you can then choose from a range of majors to make sure the degree takes you where you want to go: Agribusiness; Applied Finance; Business Economics; Decision Support Tools for Business; Financial Management; Human Resource Management; Information Systems; International Business; Management; Marketing; Professional Accounting; and Sustainability.

When you graduate, your major (or majors) will be identified on your testamur and transcript. For example, if you choose the major in Human Resource Management you will graduate with a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management). Or, if you take two majors such as International Business and Professional Accounting, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Business (International Business) (Professional Accounting).

The course will prepare you to take on a role as a future manager with leadership responsibilities for creating a more inclusive and sustainable global economy. These skills will enable you to respond effectively to the challenges of the ever-changing global business environment in a socially responsible way.

Our teaching is predicated on presenting management theory that is 'tested' in the workplace. We use case studies of real business situations to explain the theory. Our assessment is aimed at testing your ability to apply this theory in the 'real' world. So whether you are just finishing high school or already have significant business experience, our degree is designed to enable you to take your learning beyond the university, to become valued corporate citizens or leaders in the modern business world.

With online learning support and optional Trimester 3 units, you can accelerate your degree or combine it with periods of full-time employment. Specific majors are also accredited by the premier professional accounting bodies in Australia (CPA Australia, ICAA and IPA) and the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).
