The department offers programs of study leading to thesis-based degrees of Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Requirements
- Students entering with a first class undergraduate degree or a previous MSc degree from a recognized institution may be admitted directly to PhD studies.
- Applicants whose native language is not English must also submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): a minimum score of at least 600 is required (100 for the internet based version). An overall score of at least B and 7.0 with no score of less than 6.5 on each academic component of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) will be accepted as an alternative to a TOEFL score. Scores older than two years are not acceptable.
