Choir Direction and Choral Composition Programme at Egidio R. Duni Conservatory of Music

Are you interested in pursuing a career in choir direction and choral composition? The Egidio R. Duni Conservatory of Music offers a comprehensive programme in choir direction and choral composition that will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to become a successful choir director and choral composer.

Requirements

In order to be accepted into the programme, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and must demonstrate a strong interest in music and the ability to read and write music. Additionally, applicants must have a basic understanding of music theory and be able to demonstrate proficiency in vocal technique.

Applicants must also demonstrate a commitment to the study of choral music and must be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of choral conducting techniques.

The Egidio R. Duni Conservatory of Music also requires applicants to submit a portfolio of their work, which should include recordings of their choral compositions and/or performances.

Admission Process

Once you have submitted your application, you will be invited to an audition. During the audition, you will be asked to demonstrate your vocal technique and your knowledge of choral conducting techniques. You will also be asked to perform a selection of your choral compositions.

If you are accepted into the programme, you will be required to complete a series of courses in choir direction and choral composition. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will receive a diploma in choir direction and choral composition.
