This program is intended to allow registered nurses to raise their clinical competence and develop skills in leadership and research. The course is embedded in a solid evidence base and offers students professional and clinical skill development along with the required fact-finding and lifelong learning skills. Over this system students can opt to review strings in selected clinical nursing specialties clinic - clinical specialisations include: acute care, cancer, chronic circumstances, emergency, intensive care, mental health, orthopaedics, paediatrics, peri-operative and renal dysfunction. The path will incorporate the study, ethical, political and skills abilities necessary allow professional and clinical leadership through an educated stance on healthcare issues with a particular emphasis on cross-cultural practice. Graduates will have the capability to undertake leadership roles in an assortment of health and educational settings.
Applicants must hold current registration as a registered nurse or registered midwife together with the Australian medical professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA). All applicants need a minimum 0.6 FTE job at the clinical specialty for which they are applying.
