Computer Science (for BEng holders)

Overview

The Faculty of Science and Technology offers Master’s degree studies in Computer Science, which duration is 3 semesters. The graduate, exhibiting special proficiency in IT knowledge, used both in theoretical and practical aspects, is prepared to undertake a profession in the field of IT in various industries.

Career opportunities

The Faculty of Science and Technology offers an MSc in Computer Science programme which aims at educating a graduate especially proficient in IT knowledge, both theoretically and practically. The Faculty enhances relations between education, research and economy within the frame of a knowledge triangle. A wide range of subjects to choose from gives students possibilities of creating such an educational path, which corresponds to the students’ scientific interests and professional plans. It fulfills the strategy assumptions, which put a special emphasis on improving the programs flexibility. Special attention in creating this educational program was also paid to the co-operation with various IT companies and their needs, which goal is to build a system of innovative education. Thanks to such practices, the graduate is competitive at the labour market.

Admission of candidates will be based on undergraduate degree diploma grades in computer science.

The additional formal requirement is documented knowledge of English language.

The order of admission will be determined by the place on the ranking list created on the basis of candidate’s result (WK), calculated in line with the below formula. If the admission limit is not achieved, all candidates with a result (WK) higher than 0 will be admitted.

• I — grade on the undergraduate degree diploma in computer science (Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science, Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Bachelor of Computing in Computer Science, Bachelor of Computer Security in Computer Science, Bachelor of Software Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Information Systems, Bachelor in Computer Design), (I = 0 when the candidate did not complete undergraduate studies in computer science).

If candidates have the same WK result, the diploma exam grade will be taken into account to determine the place on the ranking list.

All documents in foreign languages should be translated to Polish by sworn translator.
