This class offers protection of facets modern computing, depending on the major chosen. It covers fundamental programming and theoretical knowledge followed by a chance to specialize in one of the 3 primary computing areas: Computer Science, Cyber Security and Software Engineering. Curtin's Computing class teaches C and Java in the very first year whilst the various tools for learning center concepts like object orientation and algorithms. Linux skills are taught through the course and emphasis is placed on learning the basics before moving on complex topics. Graduates from the class can have a higher level of comprehension of computer systems and processes involved in applications development and maintenance.
